A full day of art activities based around a theme.
Workshops run by Andy Leigh.

Workshops run from 10.00am - 3.00pm.
Suitable for 8 years and over.
All materials are supplied.
Bring a packed lunch, and wear suitable clothes.

Wednesday 30 July	Learn how to Draw Cartoons and Caricatures, and make your own Comic Book to take home.
Wednesday 6 August	Lots of activities all based around the theme of Time, including Make Your Own Clock (quartz clock movement included).
Friday 8 August	Learn about Roman Pottery, and the Roman’s who lived here on Castle. Includes having a go at using a Potter’s Wheel, and take home a booklet on Roman Northwich.
Wednesday 13 August	Have a go at lots of different Printing Techniques, including Press Print and Potato Printing.
Friday 15 August	Learn about traditional Canal Boat Decorations and decorate your own wooden spoon and flower pot. Also learn about the lives of the Bargemen who attended the nearby Church.
Wednesday 27 August	Make a large 3D Relief Picture based on the Holy Trinity Church, plus lots of other arts activities.

Pinhole Camera Workshop

Pinhole Camera Workshop held at the VAC Gallery on Tuesday 18 February, and run by Emma Thackham. Some of the best attempts are shown here - a couple of Northwich's familiar landmarks (using a pinhole camera made from a tin coffee caddy which cost £2.45 from PoundStretcher). Alan, Dave, Christiane, Tom, Ethan & Emma all made cameras and got great results.

John Malam Writing Workshop

 A joint DAN/Northwich Library Event.

Flower Workshop

DAN supporting VAC Gallery

Artist Michael Troy worked with children and parents of Children's Centres around Northwich to create flowers forming a bower to welcome visitors to the town's newest and only dedicated gallery on Brunner Court.

Over 25 children and 20 adults took part in making foam flowers decorated with alliterative words that echo the first exhibition. The underlying theme of the first ever exhibition is of family through letters and verse.

Christmas Celebrations 2012

Banners produced by four Children's Centres, working with local artist Mike Troy, as part of the Christmas Celebration and Lights Switch On in Northwich on Friday 30 November at 4.30pm.

The cast of Sleeping Beauty will be joining in the Lantern Parade and helping to switch on the Christmas Lights.
